Saint Declan Medal, carved on both sides. The bell shape of the medal itself comes from the miracle attributed to St. Declan of Ardmore that involved him transporting a bell his monks forgot in England across the sea on a rock. The Irish engraved along the side translates to "High Sheep Island" which is an older name for Ardmore.
Shown on a Cable Chain.
The artwork is a collaboration between Walker Metalsmiths and Jack Brown, who carved the original model in deer antler.
